Peter Watson
Peter is an experienced yachtsman and long-range cruiser whose boating career spans decades and close to 100,000 nautical miles. He is best known as the owner of Little Grey Wolf (FPB 64) and Grey Wolf II (FPB 78), yachts he chose to drive across oceans rather than ship.
Peter has completed major Pacific and Atlantic passages, cruised remote island groups, and taken Grey Wolf II deep into Antarctica, operating in extreme weather, ice, and remote conditions far from support. These voyages included drum fueling, heavy weather anchoring, and extended self-sufficiency.
During the build of Grey Wolf II, Peter worked closely with designer Steve Dashew, applying real-world experience to decisions around layout, redundancy, access, and safety. He is a strong advocate for yachts built for capability, comfort, and control, believing boats should be used properly, tested honestly, and trusted to take families safely to extraordinary places.
