Magnus Kullberg
Managing Director of Berthon Scandinavia, Magnus Kullberg lives in Henån with his wife Doreen and their son Max. His commute is a five-minute downhill bike ride to the harbour office — a fitting start to days immersed in yachts. Trained in mechanical design, Magnus first spent 12 years in R&D at Mölnlycke Healthcare before taking a planned “one-year break” in 1999 that became three years cruising aboard a 32-foot yacht and working in the BVI charter industry. Hooked on sailing, he returned to Sweden to join Najad, overseeing production and development of 46–57ft yachts and guiding clients through sales, builds, handovers, and aftersales. After Najad’s closure in 2011, he founded XLNT Yachting, specialising in premium Scandinavian yachts, later merging with Berthon International in 2020. A lifelong sailor, Magnus has crossed the Atlantic multiple times, skippered an Open 50 at 25+ knots, and still draws lessons from early adventures in the Swedish archipelago.
